For this year's edition of the Marseille Marathon, once again over 7,000 runners will be taking part in this 42km race starting from the Canebière and ending at the Old Port. The circuit was been completely redesigned in 2010 to give runners an even more picturesque marathon experience. This new circuit will take runners through the old town and past the city's most stunning monuments: the Marseille Cathedral, Michelangelo's David, the place Castellane and the Vélodrome Stadium, for example. This major circuit through the heart of Marseille will also include a section along the beach front on the Corniche Kennedy.
